If I did not make this shirt, the brand would not exist. The idea came to me after sitting in my dorm room after the end of the Fall semester. I remember the night so vividly. I was watching a Breakfast Club Pharrell interview while eating take out on the floor of my room. Pharrell is on a press run talking about three incredible women who worked for NASA in the 1950s and the how they found success in the face of racial and gender tensions.

During this time, I was also extremely into NASA and began generating ideas about how I could merge these two ideas into one. Since NASA felt very futuristic, I settled on Black Women Are The Future
